Jacky Ickx GT40 At Goodwood FOS
Here at SBR Engineering we were honoured to be given the task of recommissioning this totally original GT40. This car (Chassis GT40 P/1001) is a "production" GT40, and was the New York motor show car in 1966. Chassis GT40 P/1000 was the first car made, but was destroyed in testing, so Chassis P/1001 was flown from New York to Ford Advanced Vehicles in Europe, and was prepared to race in the Le Mans 24Hr that year.
