SB Race Engineering is excited to announce their participation in the highly anticipated ‘Autumn Classic’ historic car race meeting at Castle Combe Circuit in Wiltshire, scheduled for Saturday, September 23. This event promises a plethora of entertainment both on and off the 1.85-mile race track.
For the 2023 edition, the central theme revolves around ’75 years of Lotus Cars.’ The celebration of this milestone will be showcased with special display vehicles strategically placed within the picturesque paddock areas, highlighting the enduring connection between the iconic British brand and the venue throughout the decades.
On the race track, spectators can look forward to a thrilling day of non-stop racing action, featuring series like Fiscar ’50s Inter-Marque, HSCC Griffith HAIG Trophy, and Superformance Ferrari Club Classic, among others. The event will draw numerous famous names from the racing world, including Nick Adams, David Brodie, Jonathan Buncombe, David Da’Costa, Tim Davies, Ian Flux, David Franklin, and Roger Orgee.
However, the Autumn Classic offers more than just heart-pounding racing. Attendees are encouraged to embrace the vintage spirit by donning their finest retro attire and immersing themselves in the historic displays throughout the show grounds as the circuit turns back the clock. In addition to special vehicle displays commemorating various anniversaries, the event will feature appropriately retro stage music performed by the Bren Jones Big Band and captivating vintage cabaret dancing by the Flaming Feathers troupe.
